Treasure Hunts in the City
Imagine a glorious summer evening spent with trusted friends and colleagues, keenly observing your surroundings as you make your way through the historic heart of the City of London, checking out its ancient alleyways, thoroughfares, courtyards and pubs. You are on a Friends of Cancer Research UK City of London Treasure Hunt!
Well we can't guarantee the weather, but we'll do our best to entertain you. You can expect plenty of cunning, cryptic and humorous clues, the opportunity to sink a few decent pints, (we choose our pubs carefully) and a few surprises along the way. When (and if) you reach the end, you'll find a very warm reception from the marking team, a few more pints, and some food.
Interested? You may wish to get a team together for a public Treasure Hunt, or perhaps your company would be interested in hiring our team for a corporate event (in which case please contact either Alex or Paul, details are below). Either way, you'll be making a valuable contribution to Cancer Research UK and you'll have an enjoyable evening to boot.
The 2011 Treasure Hunt took place on 6th July in or around the City of London (I can’t tell you exactly where) and raised over £400 for the cause.
A couple of photographs are appended below and modesty forbids me from saying who won.
Treasure Hunt -
The 2011 Treasure Hunt was won by "CRUK of Gold", who have won this competition once or twice before in different guises...!
Breaking the tradition of the last few years, here are a few pictures from the event, actually in focus. I’ll update with proper team names when I get them. <Tell me>
The “odd” photos were from a challenge to illustrate a nursery rhyme (and an Imperial Stormtrooper I came across)
Roll on next year!
