Dale’s 2010 Charity Challenge

You may remember that last year we featured Dale Taylor’s HellRunner challenge. He’s gone slightly more ambitious this year, but I’ll let him describe it in his own words...

 

Dale's 2010 Charity Challenges

Once again I have the chance to raise money for Cancer Research UK, although this time I will be stretching myself further by competing in two events.

 

I have signed up for an event called Maxx Exposure, which is an 80 mile overnight off road cycle over the hills of the South Downs. Although I have been preparing by cycling to work from Crawley to Banstead, the hills are nothing like the South Downs and I know it is going to be a massive challenge (especially in the dark!). I am then going to recover from this and start training my legs for the event that I did last year - Hellrunner! This year I aim to beat last years time of 1 hour 37 minutes to complete the 11 miles of hills, mud, rivers and anything else they choose to through in my way this year. It's a great event and very rewarding but it makes it all more worth while knowing that I am doing it for a good cause. This all starts kicks off in a month with Maxx Exposure on 25th September and Hellrunner which is 28th November.
