Another of the Cancer Research UK "family" of sites is CancerHelp UK, which is a free information service about cancer and cancer care aimed at patients and their families.
A complementary cancer charity -
A charity "committed to fighting breast cancer through research and awareness", Breakthrough has been recommended to us for its "plain English" and general helpfulness in this area.

Once more I am indebted to our own Mr Inwood for this suggestion. In his own words:-
"Since a significant proportion of the blood which is donated to the National Blood Service every year is used for transfusions for cancer patients, I thought it might be a good idea to have a link to the NBS website on our links

Personally, I couldn't agree more.
