Quizzes, treasure hunts, golf and climbing down the outside of a big building! What have all these got in common we hear you cry! Well, they are just some of the popular events the City of London Friends of Cancer Research can organise successfully for you!
Opting for the Entertainment route over the rattling tins operation has ensured a

With a couple of name changes along the way we’ve been fundraising for nearly 19 years now; we’re always open to new ideas though
So, how can you hop on board?
Easily! Browse through our webpage and see if there are any events you would like to participate in, maybe as a group or even a corporate event with your company? You will find contact details on every page where you can request further information about all events, Or maybe you would like to volunteer and help out with the entertainment? Volunteering is a fun and great way to help the charity, whether you enjoy marking quiz papers – aided by a glass of wine (or two), helping with treasure hunts – aided by a pint (or two) or popping along to lend a hand at any event – yep, most probably aided by a G&T (or two)! Then please do not hesitate to contact any of the committee.
The bottom line is that whilst your money goes to finding cures for cancer, you and your friends, colleagues or customers are all entertained! Now, what could be better than that?!

From the Chairman’s Desk
City of London Friends of Cancer Research UK are currently restructuring our Quiz Committee. During the transitional period our "public" quizzes are being postponed. At this stage it is unlikely that the Pop Music Quiz, TV & Film Quiz and the Sports Quiz will go ahead in 2008. Public Quizzes will resume in November with the General Knowledge Quiz. In the meantime our limited resources are being directed towards our Corporate Quiz customers. We would like to thank our regular supporters for their patience during this period and we expect to offer our full programme of quizzes again in 2009. Ever wanted to see politicians ask the questions of the political pundits? That’s the idea behind the “Turn the Tables” lunch to be held this year at the Dorchester on Monday 13th October 2008 (a new venue for this particular event)
