Canary Wharf Abseil - May 9th & 10th 2009

Have you ever wondered what London looks like from 230 ft?

Have you ever wanted to become a super hero or heroine for the day and scale down city walls?

Have you ever wanted to raise over £200 for Cancer Research UK whilst having an amazing experience?

Then why not be abseil-utely mad and join the Canary Wharf Abseil!

Taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May 2009 at 20 Cabot Square, Canary Wharf E14, the abseil is open to anyone over 18 years old. No previous abseiling experience is required as training will be provided on the day by fully qualified instructors. The only thing needed is a thrill-seeking attitude and the will to raise a minimum of £200 sponsorship* for Cancer Research UK!

So, if you want to reach new heights and go over the edge for Cancer Research UK, please email abseil@crukcity.org.uk

*NB Due to high demand participants will also need to pay a £25 registration fee in order to secure their place - so book early to avoid disappointment!

Best wishes

Richard & Carolyn

From 2007, here is a group of our fantastic fundraisers who took our initial request for “Superheroes” perhaps a little too literally! I believe Supergirl to be Catherine Bailey but details regarding the rest of you would be welcomed!

On 12th and 13th May 180 brave participants took part in the Canary Wharf Abseil. A big thank you to everyone who took part in the event and we are pleased to report that we took over £68,000 on the day and hope to make about £80,000 in total for the event!
